This installation proposes a temporary wooden structure that acts as a shelter where people can be protected from the cold weather and have a view of the beach. The structure consists of a timber orthogonal grid that follows the dimensions of the lifeguards stands and a shingled surface that is attached on this grid. The installation is designed as a steady structure that can be rapidly and easily constructed. The timber grid consists of 5x5 cm linear elements with CNC cut joints locked with screws. The shingles are also made out of thin timber, CNC cut in shape, assembled flat and then attached to timber rings that make the final form. These rings are screwed on the rectangular grid.
